The duration of studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). The aim of Welding Engineering is to provide initial and postgraduate training for students to become specialists in the field of Industrial Engineering. The studies are in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of Transilvania University of Brașov and with the Strategy Europe 2020. Graduates of the Welding Engineering specialism enjoy a well-deserved appreciation on the Romanian labour market due to their complex and high-level training in areas such as construction of metal structures, nuclear technology, equipment for refineries and petrochemical installations, shipbuilding, automobiles, wagons and locomotives, aircraft, agricultural equipment and consumer goods, etc. Many of the graduates of Welding Engineering currently work abroad in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Turkey, Czech Republic, etc., some of them being heads of departments and managers in recognition of the competence and importance of their work (Air liquide Ductil Buzău, Linde, ESAB, etc).

(Details at https://eurace.enaee.eu/node/78628). The bachelor’s field in which this study programme integrates is Industrial Engineering, and the duration of studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). It mainly involves the training of engineers capable of coordinating safety activities in the industry. The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH) establishes the presumption of general liability of the employer in all matters relating to occupational safety and health within the company. The problems regarding the identification and assessment of risks, the establishment of the most appropriate measures, activities and possibilities to prevent accidents in the respective company are entirely the responsibility of the employer, which requires top specialists in OSH.

The bachelor’s field to which this study programme belongs is Materials Engineering. The duration of studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits).

 

Students acquire research and design skills in the processes of synthesis and integration of new materials (metallic, ceramic, composite) in high-tech devices in conditions of economic efficiency and environmental protection, analysis of material characteristics and design of technologies for obtaining new products applying advanced techniques.

 

Completion of this study programme enables graduates to approach several professions in the field of Materials Engineering.

 

Perspectives after graduation: research engineer in materials science, engineer designing materials processing technologies, technological and production engineer, manufacturing programmer, production process coordinator.

The duration of the studies is 4 years and they ensure the training of specialists with double qualifications, in technical and economic fields, with managerial and entrepreneurial skills, able to approach product design and technology development according to market requirements with maximum efficiency. The continuous increase of economic competitiveness, both nationally and internationally, correlated with the extensive development of technical fields has generated the idea of achieving a double training in university education that allows increasing the flexibility of employment opportunities on the labour market.

Perspectives after graduation: Graduates are highly successful in their employment, being able to opt for industry (process coordination, technology design, database management, commercial promotion, etc.), financial - banking (accounting, economic and financial analysis), services, education, etc. Graduates will also be prepared to open up their own business.
